Many Thanks for the continued strong support and active volunteer efforts by those residents who helped with opposing this project using the administrative procedures available through the Howard Count Department of Planning and Zoning.
We are now continuing our opposition in the Circuit Court for Howard County and exercising our right to a legal appeal to fight against Mr. Hikmat and the Williams family (the developer and land owners).
To that end, we have collected donations and continue to accept donations from residents to further fund our appeal to the Circuit Court for Howard County. Your support is requested and will be appreciated.
We, the opposition, presented valuable testimony, studies, and evidence during the administrative hearings which provides a solid foundation for our legal appeal. Most developers that are defeated by communities, are defeated in the courtroom when a judge that is well trained in the law scrutinizes a proposed project.

09/08/08, Amendment to Age Restricted Housing Regulations Sought by Developer for their Advantage. (Click for details, MS Word file) Click here for the County Planning Board webpage. As you’ll see, there is nothing scheduled at this time. The technical staff reports must be completed prior to setting a date. Check back on their site occasionally to see if a Board meeting has been set for this issue.
