Update on the high density, condominium, senior housing project
coming to Greenberry Lane and Linden Church Road !!!!
The Board of Appeals granted permission for the developer to build the high density, age restricted, condominium project shown on the back of this flyer. Fortunately, the opposition did an excellent job presenting testimony, studies, and evidence during the administrative appeal that has laid the foundation for a court appeal which can still halt the developer in his tracks.
There are two levels of court appeals available to us to continue our opposition. Our current appeal is to the Circuit Court for Howard County. The Circuit Court will be composed of actual judges in contrast with the political appointees that sat on the board of appeals.
We refuse to roll over and let Hikmat and the Williams family (the developer and land owner, respectively) have their way with us and have now dusted ourselves off to continue the fight for justice. We have hired a very well respected firm to handle our appeal.
To finance the opposition legal fund we continue to solicit donations from residents in the maximum amount that they want to contribute, with a suggested amount of $400. Of course, donations can be as high as you feel comfortable. Currently, numerous neighbors have made contributions that are a testament to their desire to preserve the integrity of our community.
